Biggest Ever!

Ben finally passed his kidney stone that he got on July 3rd (during our anniversary activities)! After the initial pain set in and Ben went to the ER to get meds, he continued to take his prescription medications off and on as he would feel some pain and/or nausea. Three weeks later, it made it's way through the tubes into his bladder and came out! Yeah! The fact that it took three weeks is indication enough of just how big it was and how hard of a time it had making its way down (usually takes a day or two), but here are some pictures to prove it (so if you don't want to see a kidney stone, don't scroll down)!

**The two smaller ones were passed after Ben had his lithotripsy procedure and are in the picture as a size reference. The one he is pointing to is the monster of all stones!**
Here are a couple other shots Ben wanted me to take to show the size of "the beast"!

Yikes!! The funny thing is that the only real difference between "the beast" and other smaller stones is the length in time it took to pass into the bladder! The pain Ben has felt has even been worse with some of the smaller ones! Weird. Well, let's just hope that any others he has in the future will be smaller just so there isn't the risk of it not passing and so it won't take so long! :) What a brave, strong man.

OUCH!!!!! That would be so painful. Maybe Ben can relate with having a baby, if that is true then you have it made. Sorry Ben!
