...We Saw...

We saw some amazing beauty while visiting with my parents in Oregon. Among those sites included some wildlife in their own backyard!

My parents live right in the woods and the deer come in and lay in their yard. Mom and Dad also have some tree stumps that they put cracked corn on and the deer come in and eat it. The picture of the bird was taken while it was waiting for a deer to finish eating so it could clean up after it. The picture of the squirrels was taken on my parents' driveway. It seems the squirrels like to cool off by laying their bodies flat against the pavement. It's so funny to see!

As promised, we also made a trip to the Medford temple. It was quite small, but very pretty inside. It's so nice that no matter where you are, the temple is still the same. :)

We also made a trip to the coast. Along the way, we stopped on the road in the Redwood Forest. It is so beautiful! Those redwoods are gigantic and were so awesome to see! Here's a slide show of some of the pictures I took (there were too many good ones to put them all on this post individually).

Here is Ben's treasure he found hidden in a tree. He noticed something that just didn't look right shoved into a crack. When he pulled it out, he found:

Three whole dollars!! Yeah! They were stuck together, stained reddish-brown, and very dry and dirty.

When we made it out to the coast, we had a picnic lunch by the bay and then made our way to a couple of beaches. Again, I made a slideshow to show all the cool pictures of what we saw!

We also went to a concert in the park. The first part of it was fun and entertaining, but we left about halfway through. There were also a lot of strange people there to see! :)

These are just some of the beautiful (and strange) scenes that we saw. Oregon sure is pretty country! One more post to go! :)
