Whoops!

So, Ben came to pick me up at work to take me to lunch on my break a few Saturdays ago.  We needed to turn left out of the parking lot, but there was someone ahead of him that was also turning left and we had to wait.  Well, the driver and her passenger were especially cautious because they missed 2 good opportunities to go!  I only have 45 minutes for lunch and so Ben was irritated at them for taking so long to turn!  Finally they went and got into the center turn lane to await a chance to move over into the lane of traffic.  Ben turned shortly after them headed for the center lane, but the other driver was still taking her time getting into the traffic lane. Ben came close to hitting them, but manuvered around them into the far right lane and passed them.  Then we approached an intersection where the right turn is just a yeild.  We headed right, as Ben was still fuming about the stupid driver we finally got in front of.  There was a truck in front of us going right also, and Ben was watching the traffic flow from his left as the truck in front of us started to merge onto the roadway.  Well, the truck ended up needing to yeild to the traffic from the left, but Ben was still watching the traffic and didn't see that the truck had stopped.  I grabbed his arm and screamed and Ben slammed on the breaks...but not fast enough.  We ran into the other guy. It wasn't a hard hit, but we both pulled over to assess things.  Luckily, only two cars behind us was a police officer and he came over and gave us a form for if we wanted to file a report...and then left with no citations. :) Ben swapped info with the other guy and then we headed to lunch.  I still had enough time to eat and get back to work, and there was pretty minimal damage to either vehicle.  Our hood:

The only truly noticable problem with our car is that when you lock it, the lights no longer flash and it doesn't beep after hitting 'lock' the second time.  But the lights still flash when you unlock it and it drives perfectly.  And you want to know something funny?  The girls Ben was frustrated with were the ones right behind us when Ben hit the truck! Haha! We thought they were idiots...but it turned out to be us! :)
