So, not only was Ben rear-ended in January, but as the previous post tells you, he was hit again a little bit ago. He took his truck in to the collision place and was told the damage is estimated to be right around $2,000. Now that I've looked more closely at it, his bumper is pretty messed up, but still not bad compared to the other car or to what happened to the Santa Fe.
Anyway, he'll drop it off on Monday and it will take about a week to complete the repairs. We'll have to get a rental again. It's always fun to experience a new car! :)
But there's more! So you know how the person that hit him in January was a drunk driver? Well, about 2 weeks ago a police officer came over to our house to give Ben a subpoena (MOM...I did it! I spelled it right all by myself!) to appear in court!! This idiot is trying to fight it in court! Does he honestly think he'll win? He was arrested on the scene, for crying out loud! Yeah. Dumb.

There are so many people in this country that don't want to take accountability for their actions. It drives me crazy.
What does he claim and what does he thnk he will gain? Makes no sense to me. Does the subpoena give a hint about what is going on?
